  • Delta Delta Delta's History

Tri Delta was founded Thanksgiving Eve, 1888 at Boston University by Sarah Ida Shaw, Eleanor Dorcas Pond, Florence Isabel Stewart, and Isabel Morgan Breed.

The Eplison Gamma chapter here at Eastern Illinois University was founded eight years ago.

All throughout the country Tri Deltas have concentrated their philanthropic support toward Children’s Cancer Research. Nationally, Tri Delta has formed a partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee since 1999. At St. Jude, the doctors and researchers are responsible for the care of children with life threatening cases of cancer and other terminal illnesses. We have events that we organize in the fall and spring semesters to raise money for St. Jude and awareness of Children’s Cancer.
